We introduced our technology to creative industries and biotech investors with a stunning piece of 3D animation. MycoWorks’ engineers devised countless innovations to perfect their mycelium manufacturing process. So I directed a cinematic moment for each step of that process, beautifying prosaic actions like the mixing of powders in a way that celebrated the unseen technical achievements behind an exciting new biomaterial.

Creative Development

I sought out artists who shared the high aesthetic standards and imaginative power of the MycoWorks brand. Working together with animators in Germany and Turkey, I iterated each visual until we reached a style that was both technically accurate and artistically compelling.

Mindful of the additional production time required by 3D animation, I drew a tightly scripted storyboard to minimize revisions and move production at a steady pace.
